Unfortunately, the Obama administration, despite some positive steps such as joining the global ban on mercury, is still dragging its heels on the Stockholm Convention..

Great summation on the impact of the alliance between a unitary executive and corporate personhood - it's always been the single thing that permits public corruption to rule the day, and the office.

Allowing the pesticide industry the privilege of continuing to make it overseas, and redistributing it back to America, or using on foods to be imported for Americans is not so much different than the Jonestown lemonade suicide of recent history. Perhaps that is today's Congressional preference rooted in abject stupidity, but it isn't for all other Americans.

If pesticides are banned from the front door, allowing them in the back door, or serving them on a silver platter for American feasting doesn't make much sense.
